Multi A Class Champion

Salida was a first in many ways. She was the first foal bred by Syrah, and so has first place in my affections. At her first show, an A Class, she was awarded first place in a class of 19 yearling fillies, and went on to be awarded Champion Filly. She finished her first season with a total of 5 A Class Championships and 2 A Class Reserves and continued on in a similar fashion.

However, she had an uncanny knack of injuring herself or contracting an illness before major shows which, coupled with her penchant for rubbing out her mane and tail, kept her out of the show ring from when she was a filly. As she has produced so superbly, her progeny have taken over for her.
